WHO WE ARE

International Christian Missions and Volunteer Placement Center is wing of Evangelism and care –giving of the power of the Cross Ministries International, a non-denominational Ministry based in Nairobi, Kenya, East Africa under the leadership of Pastor Stephen Phinehas Ndivo. The Ministry works together with both denominational and non-denominational ministries when it comes to the placement of volunteers and ministers of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Lord of all.
Our aim is to facilitate and enable Christians, Christian Professionals, and Ministers of the gospel (Five –fold), Music ministers and others to reach out and share the love of Christ Jesus to those people outside their countries of residence and in particular our country Kenya and other East and Central African Countries such as Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, DRC- Congo, Malawi, and Zambia.. We have allowed God to use us as a golden- Connector to Christian Missioners and Ministers who have been willing to leave their comfortable life styles in their Countries and have come to Kenya for one (1) week up to three (3) months sharing the love of Christ to millions of people in diverse ways in line with the need on the ground.

There are Ministers of the gospel in different callings, and Professions across the globe who have been believing God for an open door to minister in Africa and especially East & Central Africa, but they don't know how, where , and when.
There are also Christian Professionals and Christians at large who have been desiring to use their Expertise, Giftings and Talents in sharing the love of Christ in Africa, but also to them they don't know how to, where, and when an effectual door my be open.
For example, there are Evangelists whom God has anointed to reach out to the dying world but no open door is open for them. They have what it takes like Financies, Sound System, , Tents etc. for an International Missions like Crusade, Church planting, Rehabilitating of orphans program etc , BUT NO OPEN DOOR SWINGS OPEN BEFORE THEM.
On the other hand, there are ministers / preachers greatly anointed by God here in Kenya and in our neighbor Countries who given a hand of support can reach out to their respective communities, villages, towns and cities. There are some of them with a congregation of about 300 – 600 people and yet they don't have even one Microphone. They use their God given voices to preach and sing using our normal African drum and clapping of hands.
That is why International Christian Missions & Volunteer Placement Center under the Leadership of Pastor Stephen Phinehas Ndivo is working really hard to CONNECT ministers and Professionals for the effective and powerful power evangelism.
It is true Africa has very anointed men and women of God who need to be Empowered, for the anointing without empowerment such as financially and in Leadership is a Catastrophe.
There are some whom God has anointed and blessed financially and materially for the end-time speed evangelism. Your calling is to support those who are on the front line preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ the Lord.
May you consider to support one of your own in your Family, Church, City, and Country or support by donating to us, as we reach out to those who are lost in sin and those who are believers and yet Naked, Thirsty, Hungry and without a meaningful Shelter.
We can practice the True Religion according to James
May the love and Compassion of Jesus Christ fill your heart as you hear and watch the News of anguish and pain in Kenya and Africa in CNN, BBC, SKY NEWS, ALJAZIRA etc.
Due to political unrest in Kenya, some Churches, pastors' houses and individuals houses were burned down including those of blood washed Christians who are now homeless in what we now call 'INTERNALLY DISPLACED CAMPS' ( IDPs). Mothers and Children are sleeping in the open grounds in cold at night and the scotching sun during the day.
Dear Sir / Madam, did you know that when Nehemiah ( in the Bible) heard the news that walls and the gates of Jerusalem were burned down he was stressed and troubled hence he prayed to God. But when he came to the SEEN- JERUSALEM and saw the devastation of the city, he was moved and got a strategy on how to Rebuild the city again

Together we can rebuild the broken lives of humanity around us.
The International Christian Missions and Volunteer Placement Center has two wings of operation in which the Missioner(s) and the Volunteer(s) chose as per his / her area of calling, Desire, Profession and Experience.

The are,
1) Preaching and Empowerment Ministry
2)Care-Giving Ministry

Prison OutReach Ministry

While we are dancing and rejoicing because of what the Lord has done, there are millions of our brothers and sisters who are behind bars in our prisons un-attended both Spiritually, psychologically and even physically.
Many of them have families to take care of as breadwinners; but pause for a minute and ask yourself these questions;
1)Are their children going to school?
2)Do they have enough food?
3)Are they clothed?
4)Do they have the quality Shelter?
5)Are they warm?
6)Where are their spouses and what are they doing?
7)Are they healthy?

With all these questions and many more, I believe it is the right time the church of Jesus Christ must arise to the occasion and take up the task of reaching out to the prisoners and their IMMEDIATE FAMILIES.

That is my concern when I see the state of anguish and despair in prisoners and hearing stories of misery and lost hope of what tomorrow holds.
There are some prisons with a capacity of around 2000 (Two Thousand) persons, but it has more than 4,500-6,000 persons (prisoners) due to lack of adequate space. Many die of mere colds for lack of blankets and because of cold floors.
We may not strike an impression before our God and our generation if we fail to take a step of faith and share the love of Christ Jesus in the capacity we can in line with our diverse callings and skills.
I lost my brother-in –law on 29 December 2007 in one of our Prisons, Why? Due to Negligence.
Jesus Christ’s great commission still remains “Go ye to all the world and preach the Gospel”…. This includes the prisoners and their families.

Hear what the Great Master Himself has to say to you and me:

“…I was Hungry and you gave me food,
I was Thirsty and you gave me a drink,
I was a Stranger and you welcomed me,
I was Naked and you clothed me,
I was Sick and you visited me,
I was IN PRISON AND YOU CAME TO ME…
…Truly, I say to you, as you DID it to one o f the LEAST of these My Brethren, you did it to Me.” – (Mathews 25: 35b-36, 40b)

Hear what Pastor Job of old tells you and I, … “…. I delivered the poor that cried, and the fatherless, and him that had none to help him. The blessing of him that was ready to perish came upon me, and
I caused the widow’s heart to sing for joy.
I was eyes to the blind,
And feet was I to the lame.
I was a father to the poor, and the cause, which I knew not I searched out.
Job 29: 12-13,15-16

As a Pastor, it bits logic to assume that one can preach the gospel, which is the Power of God unto Salvation to a hungry and a thirsty person.
Our approach is to reach out to prisoners and by God’s help reach out to their immediate families and physically share the Great love of Christ in totality to the cry of the Master.
We really need your Input Support, Help and Knowledge to be able to heed to the great cry of compassion to them whom circumstances have forced them to the Pit of dire need.

Due to the poverty level in our Community, it is said that sex is the only ‘leisure’ of a poor man. I agree on that statement because great numbers of children are in the Slums. You can find a family of around 9-12 members and they cannot even afford two (2) meals in a day or 1(One) Us$ (Dollars)- around 70(Seventy) Kenya Shillings per day. As a Pastor, I may lead them to the saving Grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, but they are still hungry and naked.
That is why I need you the Minister of the Gospel, the Volunteer (The good Samaritan), Financial donor and the Material donor etc to consider helping us in the Capacity you are well equipped.
There are over 30(Thirty) prisons in Kenya. Given an opportunity of getting Ministers, Volunteers and Financial empowerment and material, we can reach out to all prisons at least once a year. There are some towns where only 4x4 Vehicles can pass due to lack of good roads caused by heavy rains, hence by getting such a vehicle, we shall be able to put a smile on child whose father is in prison, and a wife and a husband whose Spouse is in jail.
We wish to ask and request you to heed to our earnest plead.

PRESIDENT'S PROFILE

Shalom.

Pastor Stephen Phinehas Ndivo (MTh) resides in Nairobi Kenya East Africa together with his dear wife Christine A. Ndivo and their two daughters Mercy Angel and Grace Hadassah aged 6 years and 9 months respectively.

Stephen is graduate of Teamwork Bible College & Seminary and Christian Life Training College both in South Africa. He ministers under a very strong anointing of the Holy Spirit in Churches, Crusades, Conferences, Bible Colleges, High Schools, Prisons (Correctional Centers) and on one on one basis.
He is also a great prayer warrior, Intercessor, Motivational Speaker, and a Teacher of the Word of God.
He has authored one book titled ‘THE LIFE OF A BELIEVER AS A WORSHIPER IN PARALLEL WITH THE TABERNACLE OF MOSES’ and he is currently writing another book on ‘PRAYER THAT SECURES A BLESSING’.
He has a very strong compassion to the disadvantaged people in society and those who are behind bars and their immediate families who most of them can not even afford one meal in a day, not mentioning things like Health-Care, Education, and Shelter among others. God has called him to be like Job of old to reach out to his people, Physically, Socially, Materially, Financially and even Emotionally. Here is what Job says about his Mission;

Job 29:12-13, 15-16; Because I rescued the poor who cried for help and the Fatherless who had non-to assist him,
The man who was dying blessed me; I made the widow’s hearty sing.
I was eyes to the blind and feet to the lame,
I was a Father to the needy; I took up the case of the stranger.

John 3:16 says “For God so loved the, that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

My big question has always been ‘which world did God love’? It did not say God loved the earth but the world.
I got the answer by revelation that God loved those in
1. Political world.
2. Religious world
3. Academic world
4. Social world.
5. Business world and
6. Sports world.

For centuries, the Church of Jesus Christ has had been focusing on one Religious world neglecting the world in its totality by preaching the gospel to a thirsty, hungry, sick and naked people in the society, when we were supposed to do the necessary first.
That is why you should browse through our web site and join us to reach out to our people in every aspect of life.
We request you to be our GOLDEN CONNECTOR by telling others to visit this site: www.christianmissions-volunteers.blogspot.com

Organization's Statement of Faith

The sole basis of our beliefs is the Bible, God's infallible written Word, the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments. We believe that it was uniquely, verbally and fully inspired by the Holy Spirit and that it was written without error (inerrant) in the original manuscripts. It is the supreme and final authority in all matters on which it speaks. We accept those areas of doctrinal teaching on which, historically, there has been general agreement among all true Christians. Because of the specialized calling of our movement, we desire to allow for freedom of conviction on other doctrinal matters, provided that any interpretation is based upon the Bible alone, and that no such interpretation shall become an issue which hinders the ministry to which God has called us.1.There is one true God, eternally existing in three persons -- Father, Son, and Holy Spirit -- each of whom possesses equally all the attributes of Deity and the characteristics of personality. Jesus Christ is God, the living Word, who became flesh through His miraculous conception by the Holy Spirit and His virgin birth. Hence, He is perfect Deity and true humanity united in one person forever.2.He lived a sinless life and voluntarily atoned for the sins of men by dying on the cross as their substitute, thus satisfying divine justice and accomplishing salvation for all who trust in Him alone.3.He rose from the dead in the same body, though glorified, in which He lived and died. He ascended bodily into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God the Father, where He, the only mediator between God and man, continually makes intercession for His own.4.Man was originally created in the image of God. He sinned by disobeying God; thus, he was alienated from his Creator. That historic fall brought all mankind under divine condemnation.5.Man's nature is corrupted, and he is thus totally unable to please God. Every man is in need of regeneration and renewal by the Holy Spirit.6.The salvation of man is wholly a work of God's free grace and is not the work, in whole or in part, of human works or goodness or religious ceremony. God imputes His righteousness to those who put their faith in Christ alone for their salvation, and thereby justified them in His sight.7.It is the privilege of all who are born again of the Spirit to be assured of their salvation from the very moment in which they trust Christ as their Savior. This assurance is not based upon any kind of human merit, but is produced by the witness of the Holy Spirit, who confirms in the believer the testimony of God in His written word.8.The Holy Spirit has come into the world to reveal and glorify Christ and to apply the saving work of Christ to men. He convicts and draws sinners to Christ, imparts new life to them, continually indwells them from the moment of spiritual birth and seals them until the day of redemption. His fullness, power and control are appropriated in the believer's life by faith.9.Every believer is called to live so in the power of the indwelling Spirit that he will not fulfill the lust of the flesh but will bear fruit to the glory of God.10.Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church, His Body, which is composed of all men, living and dead, who have been joined to Him through saving faith. God admonishes His people to assemble together regularly for worship, for participation in ordinances, for edification through the Scriptures and for mutual encouragement.11.At physical death the believer enters immediately into eternal, conscious fellowship with the Lord and awaits the resurrection of his body to everlasting glory and blessing.12.At physical death the unbeliever enters immediately into eternal, conscious separation from the Lord and awaits the resurrection of his body to everlasting judgment and condemnation.13.Jesus Christ will come again to the earth -- personally, visibly and bodily -- to consummate history and the eternal plan of God.14.The Lord Jesus Christ commanded all believers to proclaim the Gospel throughout the world and to disciple men of every nation. The fulfillment of that Great Commission requires that all worldly and personal ambitions be subordinated to a total commitment to "Him who loved us and gave Himself for us."

OUR COMMUNITY PROFILE

The Community we serve is comprised of different tribes of Kenya mainly the Kamba, Kikuyu, Luo, Luyha, Kalenjine, Meru, and Maasai among others. All these tribes have been staying together and intermarrying. Each tribe has its own unique customs and lifestyles that are weaved together by the threads of different ideologies and beliefs. Each tribe has its unique philosophy in the way it associates itself with the society in totality.
The city of Nairobi has a population of about three million people where the majority comes from the tribes mentioned above.
The city is sub- divided into two regions, that is, Westlands and Eastlands.

Westlands
This is a region presumably for the upper-class people whose monthly income is above 50,000 Kenya Shillings (about 700 US dollars).

Eastlands
On the other hand, Eastlands region is apparently for the low-income earners, middle-class earners and the poor who most of them cannot afford 1 (one) Usa dollar (70 Kenya Shillings) per day. It is in this region where it is densely populated especially in the slums where one couple may have 8-10 children staying in a mud house without running water and electricity.

Despite the lack of quality infrastructure, and the state of poverty in Eastlands, many of these people love the Lord Jesus Christ with sense of commitment of heart and mind. It is in this region where many churches are despite poor health facilities, poor sanitation which pre-dispose to disease like typhoid, dysentery, malaria, cholera and skin conditions (diseases) among others.
The government has small clinics in each sub- location (suburb) with the ration of 1(one) clinic serving around 70,000 people.

The Church
If the church as a whole in this area can be empowered in all spheres, it is a great invincible and yet tangible force which can bring an EMANCIPATION of the great potentials of the thousands of people whom unless otherwise they will enrich the grave- yard, where many great dreams of the great- to- be people are buried because they were not given a chance or an opportunity. They were not heard, neither were they manifested as in the book of the Romans 8:19 because of their position in society.

Had it not been for Martin Luther Junior, whom God raised to speak for his people in the United States of America, it is no doubt that the voices of the minority blacks and the underprivileged in that society would not have been heard.
He said that he had a dream where one-day men and women were going to by judged not by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character. He brought an EMANCIPATION TO HIS PEOPLE.
Many a time the problem here is not the devil as many people assume, but the very devil uses the ignorance of these people to confine them to poverty, lack and diseases. God speaks for Himself in the book of Hosea 4:6 and says… “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge”. It is not the devil that destroys but lack of knowledge in God.

Education System
The education system is also in a poor state especially in primary schools where one classroom has up to 80-90 pupils and one teacher. This situation has caused the number of truants and school drop-outs to increase. The situation is so after the government introduced a free primary education five years ago. It is not 100% free because the parents have to buy exercise books, uniforms and contribute towards building activities once in while as the need arises.
Seemingly it is cheap if not free, because many parents can afford to take their children to school whom for many years before they could not afford. The problem is that students do not receive quality education because of their numbers in classes. The system is not flexible to identify slow learners from fast learners nor does it allow teachers to rest and add a sense of motivation to enable them to deliver.
It is unlike private schools, which have a very unique system of learning where each teacher is supposed to reach 30-40 pupils in a class. The results in the final primary exams (Kenya Certificate Primary Education - K.C.P.E) proves that more work should be done in public primary schools in comparison with the private ones which performs very well in producing many pupils to join the University unlike the public schools.
That is why you should consider volunteering or supporting someone in your country to volunteer or support us by donating to us to help our people.

Hear what Mr. JOB of old said concerning the approach he had to his community; ….

That sounds like what the church is called to be. You can be one of the above if not all. You can choose to be the 'feet’ to the lame or to be the ‘eyes’ to the blind! That is why wherever you are around the globe; we are willing to CONNECT you to an opportunity of becoming either of the above if not all.

VISION & Mission Statement
